Torii Hunter had an ice pack on his left knee after Friday's loss to Boston, but he said he will definitely play through the injury, according to MLB.com. "It's a little sore, but trust me -- I can play through it," Hunter said. "Adrenaline is a painkiller. I'll play through it."

Torii Hunter remained in the game until it's end after injuring his knee while disputing a call early in the game. He finished 2-for-5 with two RBI on the in the Angels loss.

Torii Hunter injured his knee while arguing a call in Friday night's Game 2 of the ALDS against Boston. After being called out in a bang-bang play at first base, Hunter jumped in the air and landed awkardly on his left knee. He immediately fell to the ground, grabbed the inside of his knee and grimmaced in pain. Despite a pronounced limp, he has remained in the game. The Angels staff are currently calling it a jammed knee.

MLB.com reports that Torii Hunter finished serving his two-game suspension after Thursday's game against the Mariners, but the Angels center fielder was out of the lineup again on Friday because of lingering tightness in his quadriceps muscle. Hunter originally tweaked his left quad on Tuesday against the Yankees and left the game during the fifth inning.

The good new is that he is no worse for the wear. “My Bentley!” Hunter said. “I tried to treat myself a couple of weeks ago, and look what happened. Torii Hunter was given the day off on Sunday to rest his big left toe. He banged the digit into a wall on Friday and was the DH on Saturday. "He feels all right today," manager Mike Scioscia tells MLB.com. "He was limping a little yesterday. I want to get this behind him. Today's a good day to get him a rest." Hunter is day-to-day.

Hunter also stole his first base of the season and he finally seems to be settling in after an emotional start to the season that included a stint facing the only team he had known prior to this season, the Twins.
