Manager Charlie Manuel blames the Home Run Derby for the recent slump of Bobby Abreu, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Abreu does not agree. "I don't think the home-run contest got me into a slump," Abreu said. "I'm just having a problem with mechanics. I'm pulling the ball too much, and that's not me." He is hitting just .194 with no home runs and four RBI in 17 games since the All-Star break.
