Ron Mahay is drawing interest from other teams as the trading deadline approaches, according to the Kansas City Star. The paper lists the Tigers, Yankees, Red Sox, Marlins and Rays as potential suitors.

December 20, 2007
The Royals signed Ron Mahay to a two-year, $8 million contract, according to the Kansas City Star. Mahay, who posted a 2.55 ERA in 58 relief appearances last year, will serve as one of the lefties in the Royals bullpen. He held left-handed hitters to a .189 average in 2007.

June 15, 2007
The Rangers activated Ron Mahay from the 15-day disabled list on Friday, according to the AP. He went on the DL a month ago with a strained muscle in his rib cage. Mahay is 0-0 with a 3.86 ERA in 13 games for the Rangers.

November 5, 2006
The Rangers exercised their 2007 club option on Ron Mahay Sunday, according to the AP. He went 1-3 with a 3.95 ERA in 65 games with Texas in 2006.

April 23, 2006
The Rangers purchased the contract of veteran lefty Ron Mahay from Double-A Frisco. Mahay will pitch in middle relief. Last season he had a 6.81 ERA in 30 appearances with the Rangers.
