Expos manager Frank Robinson told the AP on Saturday that Livan Hernandez would start Thursday if he doesn't pitch in the All-Star game.

The Expos signed Livan Hernandez to a three-year, $21 million contract extension on Tuesday, according to the AP. Hernandez was due to make $6 million this year, but that was lowered to $4 million as part of the extension. He will now make $8 million in both 2005 and 2006, and $7 million in 2007. Hernandez would have been a free agent at the end of this season.
