Braden Looper underwent surgery Tuesday to repair the meniscus in his right knee, according to beat writer Adam McCalvey's twitter page.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt reports that Braden Looper pitched most, if not all, of the 2009 season with a torn meniscus in his right knee. He's going to have it "cleaned up" this offseason.

Braden Looper gave up six earned runs on 10 hits over six innings in Friday's 12-6 win at St. Louis. He had two walks with three strikeouts.

Braden Looper allowed five runs on Saturday, but just three were earned, and he kept the Brewers in the game for a chance to win. After six innings of work where he allowed seven hits and a walk, the Brewers did win on a Ryan Braun homer in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Phillies 7-5.
