In one of the worst outings in recent spring-training memory, Braden Looper was forced to the bench rather early in today's 14-run loss to the Dodgers. LA hit two homers and scored seven runs off Looper in their 20-6 victory. Five runs scored in the second and two more had crossed in the third when Looper was pulled with one out for Ron Villone, who entered the game with Matt Kemp at third base. Before the inning was over, the Cardinals had committed three errors and allowed five more runs. There are times when it might be best to ignore such result, but this certainly should be a warning for Looper and fantasy owners looking forward.
