The Yankees have hit the field with newly-signed outfielder Richie Sexson in the lineup, having completed his contract negotiations today, according to the Associated Press.

Richie Sexson has officially signed with the Yankees, according to the AP. The Yankees only owe him $390,000, which is the pro-rated minimum of his $14 million salary with Seattle. The Mariners are on the hook for the remaining $6 million he is owed for the duration of the year.

Richie Sexson has reportedly reached a tentative agreement to play for the Yankees, according to ESPN.

New York Post reports that the Yankees have interest in Richie Sexson. "I don't know yet, we will take a look,'' Cashman said Friday about Sexson. "We will study it and see if it's something we will pursue. I think we have to look at it. I can't tell you we will (sign him) or won't. I can tell you we are interested.''

The Angels have no interest in acquiring newly released slugger Richie Sexson, according to the OC Register. Manager Mike Sciosca said, "Richie is the type of player who needs a lot of playing time. He has a powerful swing and still has the bat speed to be productive. But our feeling is that he needs to play a lot. I don't know if we have enough at-bats for him. We already have guys on the bench who need at-bats and I don't know if Richie would be a fit."
