An MRI on Bartolo Colon yesterday revealed a strain, or slight tear, in the back of his shoulder, according to the LA Times. It appears unlikely he will be available again in the postseason. The good news is he probably will not need surgery.

Bartolo Colon will undergo an MRI test today to determine the severity of the damage in his right shoulder, according to the LA Times. He is not on the active roster for the ALCS. It seems doubtful that Colon will pitch if the Angels advance to the World Series, and there's a chance he'll need surgery that could affect his 2006 season. "Bart is a horse, this guy doesn't complain about anything, so when he says he's hurt, it's significant," Manager Mike Scioscia said.
