Carlos Lee has agreed to terms on a six-year contract with Astros, according to a Houston television station. According to the Astros official site, Lee is expected to fly to Houston Friday to sign the contract. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed yet.

The Houston Chronicle reports that the Astros had a negotiating session with Carlos Lee on Wednesday. During the session, the club raised its offer to around the five-year, $73-million mark set by the Cubs and Aramis Ramirez.

The Orioles are considering offering Carlos Lee a six-year contract worth $80-90 million, according to the Baltimore Sun. "I've had several discussions with the Orioles and they've been productive," said Lee's agent, Adam Katz. The competition for Lee appears to be down to three teams - the O's, Astros and Phillies.

The Astros have offered a multi-year contract to Carlos Lee, according to the Houston Chronicle. The team is desperately trying to add some offensive punch after finishing at the bottom of the NL with a .255 team batting average last year. Lee hit .300 with 37 homers and 116 RBI last season for Milwaukee and Texas.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that the trade sending Carlos Lee to Texas is final. Lee and Nelson Cruz go to Texas in exchange for Kevin Mench, Laynce Nix and Francisco Cordero. Lee should enjoy playing home games in one of the best hitter's parks in the majors down the stretch.

ESPN's Keith Law reports that the Brewers are trading Carlos Lee to the Rangers in a blockbuster deal. The trade would send Francisco Cordero, Kevin Mench and Laynce Nix to Milwaukee in exchange for Lee, prospect Nelson Cruz and a player to be named.

Carlos Lee injured himself in the fifth inning of Wednesday's game when he jammed his glove into the outfield wall while catching a fly ball, according to the AP. However, he stayed in the game. No further information is known at this time.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Carlos Lee has withdrawn from the Home Run Derby next week because of a sore left hand. "It’s a little sore but I want to make sure it doesn’t get worse," said Lee, who has been playing with the hand wrapped.

Carlos Lee has been bothered at times this spring by slight stiffness in his groin, which forced him to miss yesterday's exhibition game, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "He came back (from the World Baseball Classic) and was feeling all right, but he slid into first base (Sunday) and tweaked it again," manager Ned Yost said. "He could have played today, but with 12 days to go I wanted him to stay back and let the trainers work on him today and we probably won't play him (today), but then from there he'll be good to go."
