With Sean Casey returning to first base tonight against the Cardinals, Carlos Guillen will return to shortstop, according to the Detroit Free Press. Guillen played first in the first two games of the World Series since Casey's injured calf limited him to DH duties.

Because of Sean Casey's calf tear, Carlos Guillen moved from shortstop to first base for Game 2 of the ALCS on Wednesday. Neifi Perez started at shortstop. The change will likely last the rest of the ALCS.

"It's high up near the buttocks, a little bit more than down the middle of the leg, which hopefully is a little bit encouraging. We'll just have to wait and see."
