MLB.com is reporting that the Braves have activated utility man Greg Norton off the DL. In a corresponding move, the team optioned outfielder Gregor Blanco to Triple-A Gwinnett.

July 8, 2009
Although his minor league rehab stint has expired, Greg Norton will remain on the DL, according to MLB.com. Norton will meet up with the team in Colorado on Thursday to learn what the team plans to do with him.

Greg Norton has re-signed with the Braves on a one-year, $800,000 deal, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The Braves were putting hits on the board but could not compete with the Cubs this evening, falling 10-5. Atlanta's offense was led by outfielder Greg Norton , going 2-for-4 with his second home run of the season to total three RBIs and two runs scored.
