Moises Alou has agreed to a two-year contract with the Giants, according to the AP. Alou would play right field and presumably bat behind Barry Bonds.

Moises Alou sustained three bruised ribs in a car accident on Saturday, according to the New York Daily News. "It was nothing," Alou said. "It was just two blown tires. Thank God I'm fine." The Mets are one team interested in signing him to a contract.

The Daily Southtown reports that Moises Alou bruised his left kneecap when he fouled a ball off it yesterday. He didn\'t need X-rays, but the Cubs were concerned about how it would respond today. "He had a log ol\' lump on his knee," manager Dusty Baker said. "He was icing it, so we\'ll see."
