Emil Brown has won a share of the Royals' right field job after hitting .366 with four home runs this spring. He's expected to split time in right with Matt Stairs. Brown is a career .200 hitter in 404 major league at-bats.

Royals general manager Allard Baird said that journeyman outfielder Emil Brown is a candidate for the right field job, according to the Kansas City Star. "If this kid keeps having the same approach," Baird said, "he might be the everyday guy." The 30-year-old Brown is hitting .459 with an .811 slugging percentage this spring.
