Carlos Beltran hit a three-run homer helping Mike Pelfrey and the New York Mets defeat the Colorado Rockies 7-0 Sunday night.

Carlos Beltran has registered three hits in two of his last three games and could be on the verge of a hot streak and strong second half of the season, according to the NY Post. Beltran said, "We can turn around things quickly. Right now we're in good position. We're playing teams that maybe are not in contention but that doesn't mean anything. That means we really have to go out there and approach those teams the same way we approach the Phillies and the guys in our division."

Carlos Beltran put together another good game at the plate. He belted his 14th home run of the season on a 3-for-4 night. He added four RBI.

Carlos Beltran went 3-for-6 with a home run and two RBI on Sunday. The center fielder added two stolen bases in the winning effort.

Carlos Beltran could be move up to second in the batting order as manager Jerry Manuel is locking for a way to spark some life into his offense, according to MLB.com. "It's a strong consideration if his bat doesn't liven up quickly," Manuel said.
