Andrew Brown recorded three strikeouts over one inning of work against the Cubs on Wednesday, but allowed two runs on two hits, one being a home run by Derrek Lee. Brown continues to fight for a bullpen spot.

The A's acquired Andrew Brown from the Padres on Friday in exchanged for outfielder Milton Bradley, according to the AP. Brown was 2-3 with a 2.78 ERA in 32 relief appearances for Triple-A Portland.

The Indians traded Andrew Brown and Kevin Kouzmanoff to the Padres Wednesday in exchange for Josh Barfield, according to the San Diego Tribune. Brown held a 2.60 ERA in 39 appearances for Triple-A Buffalo this past year before posting a 3.60 ERA in nine games with the Tribe. He should compete for a bullpen job in San Diego in 2007.
