Houston power man Lance Berkman left Friday's game against the Chicago Cubs early with neck spasms, according to MLB.com. Berkman was with the team on the field playing defense in the bottom of the third, but when the Astros joined for offense in the top of the fourth, Berkman was removed and replaced by Darin Erstad. As we sit, he is listed as day-to-day and his status moving forward has not been updated.

"This is the worst I've ever done it," Berkman said. "But, we still have six weeks until the season starts." Berkman figures to be sidelined for at least four days, but given his importance to the team and the way that this type of injury can linger on, don't be surprised if he sits out a week or slightly longer to make sure he is healthy.
