Magglio Ordonez didn't play Saturday but Jim Leyland says he'll be in Sunday's lineup. Ordonez was taking a "batting title protection" day off Saturday, so it seems. He's got a nine-point lead over Ichiro Suzuki entering the final day.

Magglio Ordonez was a late arrival to the clubhouse after having an MRI on his sore heel, the AP reports. Results weren't available before the game. Ordonez was fine on the field, for what it's worth, rapping out a couple of hits, including his 28th home run.

Magglio Ordonez sat out Wednesday's game with a sore heel. Manager Jim Leyland hopes Ordonez will be ready to play today, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Magglio Ordonez was in the lineup as the DH Saturday, as he's battling a sore heel, the AP reports. Ordonez went 2-for-4 with a couple of runs scored. Ordonez will occasionally leave games in the late innings as Jim Leyland looks to protect his prized hitter. Don't worry too much about this injury for now; there's nothing wrong with Magglio's bat.

Magglio Ordonez was a late scratch Sunday because of minor stiffness in his left knee. "I've been playing every day, so if I don't feel great, they want to give me the day off," he said in the AP. "It will be nice to have today and tomorrow off."

Magglio Ordonez served as the DH on Sunday against Toronto because of a gash on his lower leg caused by a broken bat during Saturday's game, according to the AP. He went 0-for-4 with a strikeout on the day.

Magglio Ordonez skipped Sunday's game after being beaned in the head by a pitch the day before, according to the AP. He said he still felt a little dizzy but otherwise was fine. Ordonez might get back in the mix for Monday's game.

Magglio Ordonez was beaned by a Josh Beckett curveball Saturday, though he tested out fine, the Detroit News reports. "He was groggy at home plate, but that was to be expected," Jim Leyland said of Ordonez.
