Nick Johnson is done for 2008 following Tuesday's surgery to repair a tear in a ligament on the ulnar side of his wrist, according to the Washington Post. Dr. Richard Berger of the Mayo Clinic performed the surgery.

Nick Johnson could be done for the season, according to the Washington Post. Dr. Richard Berger of the Mayo Clinic recommended that Johnson undergo a diagnostic arthroscopy to evaluate ligaments in Johnson's wrist. The surgery will take place on Tuesday.

Nick Johnson will pay a visit to the Mayo Clinic on Monday to figure out why his injured wrist is taking so long to heal, according to the AP. He has been on the DL since May 15 because of a torn tendon in his right wrist. "He still has soreness. We're going to get another opinion to make sure there's nothing else we can do at this point," GM Jim Bowden said. "It's discouraging that he's not any better after all this time."
