ESPN reports that Cristian Guzman has signed a four-year contract with the former Expos franchise in Washington. Guzman will be the everday shortstop with his new team.

The Twins declined an option on Guzman, allowing him to become a free agent. The Washington Post reports that the Expos are one of the teams interested in Guzman.
