Gil Meche has been troubled lately by the fact that he hasn't been throwing his usual 94-96 mph, according to the Seattle Times. "There's nothing wrong with my arm, no pain or anything like that," Meche said. "But something's not right, either." He went on to say, "My last few starts I just haven't felt real strong on the mound. When I wind up in a hitter's count I find I can't power the ball past someone." Meche has spent his recent workouts on the bullpen mound trying to find the mechanics that will restore his velocity.
