Marco Scutaro was hit on the hand by a pitch in the ninth inning against the Yankees on Wednesday, according to the Toronto Star. Marco Scutaro continues to lobby for fantasy consideration, enjoying a strong day of hitting for the Blue Jays in a 6-3 win over Cincinnati. Slated to start at third base while Scott Rolen recovers from injury, Scutaro went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored, bringing his spring batting average to .314. The utility man for the Jays, likely to see time at third, second, and in the outfield this season, is showing he can get work done at the plate regardless of his position in the field. In AL-only formats, Scutaro is starting to become a rather attractive option.
March 23, 2008
Marco Scutaro, who is expected to be the opening day third baseman for the Jays now that Scott Rolen (finger) is like headed to the disabled list, hit a two-run home run on Sunday. Scutaro will see time at second base, third base, and in the outfield this year and with his likely start on opening day, he becomes fantasy-friendly as a corner or middle infielder in AL-only formats.

Jays skipper John Gibbons told Slam Sports on Wednesday that Marco Scutaro will see time at second base, third base, and in the outfield this year. The journeyman joins John McDonald giving Toronto two talented and versatile players.
