Jose Molina made his first career start at first base for the Angels on Sunday. He went 1-for-3 with his fourth home run of the year before being lifted for Darin Erstad in the bottom of the seventh inning. He was only starting to give Erstad a day off against Randy Johnson.

Jose Molina has yet to get into to an exhibition game, as he's recovering from a rib injury, according to the LA Times. However, he got two hits in 12 at-bats in a minor league game Thursday and caught two innings on Friday.
