The New York Daily News reports that the Yankees have signed Jose Molina to a two-year contract worth $4 million. Molina, who hit .257 in 191 at-bats last season, will once again serve as Jorge Posada's backup behind the plate.

Jose Molina was traded to the Yankees Saturday in exchange for pitcher Jeff Kennard. Molina will step in as New York's No. 2 catcher, caddying for Jorge Posada about once a week.
