Yankees manager Joe Girardi has told reporters that he intends to split the work load at catcher from here on out, looking to give both Jose Molina and Chad Moeller time behind the plate, according to MLB.com.

Jose Molina started his sixth straight game at catcher for the Yankees as Jorge Posada continues to strengthen his injured shoulder, according to MLB.com. "Posada threw today to the bases," manager Joe Girardi said. "He threw better, and it's the best his arm strength has been."

Jose Molina, who pulled his left hamstring during battle with Boston on Sunday, could be headed for the DL, according to the NY Daily News. Molina was asked about his availability for tonight's game against Tampa Bay, and he stated, "We'll see. It's tight." Manager Girardi added that the ailment was pretty bad.

Jose Molina injured his left hamstring during battle with Boston on Sunday night, according to Newsday. He sustained the injury in the fourth inning but fought it off and stayed in the game, until he was later replaced by a pinch-runner. Jorge Posada continued to nurse his shoulder strain, but he stepped in at catcher in the ninth inning. The team considered using Morgan Ensberg at catcher, but Manager Girardi noted, "It wouldn't be fair as he hasn't caught in like 15 years." The severity of the ailment is yet to be decided. Posada plans to try to throw today, but does not expect to be able to catch just yet. Soon, he hopes, but not likely the first game in Tampa.

Jose Molina is expected to remain the Yankees' starting catcher through their weekend series against Boston, according to NewsDay. Jorge Posada served as the team's DH on Friday, but is not ready to handle the strain of catching yet, due to his shoulder strain.

Jose Molina is expected to make another start at catcher against the Red Sox tonight, according to the Providence Journal. Jorge Posada will serve as the DH, and Molina will bat eighth in the order. He is hitting .318 over 22 at-bats this season.

Jose Molina's fantasy stock could be on the rise, if Jorge Posada ultimately goes on the DL, as reported by the AP. Posada could be headed to the DL, which will make Molina the starting catcher until he can return. Molina is hitting 4-for-14 so far, which isn't too shabby.
