Vance Wilson agreed to a one-year contract with the Tigers worth $750,000, according to the Detroit News.

The Mets traded Vance Wilson to the Tigers in exchange for minor league shortstop Anderson Hernandez on Thursday. Wilson, who hit .274 with four home runs and 21 RBI last year, will serve as the club's primary backup behind Pudge Rodriguez.
