The St. Petersburg Times reports that Rays first baseman Carlos Pena underwent successful surgery on his two broken fingers on Thursday.

Carlos Pena has been diagnosed with fractured middle and index fingers, and he is done for the season, according to Rays' beat writer Marc Lancaster. The team has placed him on the 60-day DL to make room on the 40-man roster for Chris Richard.
