Manager Manny Acta has commented that Felipe Lopez has overtaken Ronnie Belliard for the starting spot at second base for the Nationals, according to the Washington Post. Acta added, "Lopez is going to pretty much have to take himself out of it. He played himself into it with the lack of offense that we had, and he's been making things happen for us, getting on base over the last four games." Belliard was demoted due to a .214 batting average.
