The Marlins and Yankees have discussed a trade that would send A.J. Burnett to New York for Javier Vazquez, according to the Palm Beach Post.

A.J. Burnett threw for 12 minutes in the bullpen before Sunday's game and reported that his right elbow felt fine, according to the Miami Herald. Burnett is hoping to make one more start before the end of the season. He has not pitched since Sept. 12 because of right elbow inflammation.
