Rafael Furcal was the only hitter on the Dodgers able to do anything against Jake Peavy as he went 1-for-3 with a run scored on Saturday. All this talk of the great hitters at the shortstop position has seemingly excluded Furcal who is hitting .400 over his first 20 AB. If healthy, and batting in the leadoff spot for the Dodgers, there wouldn't seem to any reason not to expect Furcal to score at least 100 runs with 30 steals, and those are fine numbers no matter what position one plays in the field.
