Jayson Werth will serve as the Phillies backup catcher the next day or two as normal backup catcher Chris Coste will be away with his wife who just gave birth to their second child, according to MLB.com. "Physically, catching, the physical stuff, I don't think will be a problem," he said. "If anything it will be the game-calling and knowing the hitters."

Jayson Werth was activated from the DL on Saturday, according to EPSN. Werth had been dealing with a strained right oblique muscle. Chris Snelling was sent to Triple-A Lehigh Valley to make room for Werth.
