An MRI earlier this month revealed that Jayson Werth has a partially torn ligament in his right elbow, according to the OC Register. Doctors think he will be able to avoid surgery, though a final determination may not be made for another 4-6 weeks.

Jayson Werth took muscle relaxers on Thursday to try to relieve pain in his rib cage area, according to the L.A. Times. X-rays and a CT scan were negative for any fractures, and Werth hopes that the medication will allow him to get back into the lineup tonight.
