The commissioner's office has announced that it has concluded its investigations Scott Schoeneweis, stating there was insufficient evidence to warrant a suspension.

An internet report Monday said that Scott Schoeneweis received six shipments of steroids from 2003 to 2004 from Signature Pharmacy in Florida, the same pharmacy linked to Rick Ankiel last month. Schoeneweis has denied the allegations. "I don't even know what that is," he said to the New York Daily News. "Steroids in Florida? I never received anything from Florida. I'm not going to comment. I never even heard of it."

The Mets reached a preliminary agreement with Scott Schoeneweis on Wednesday, according to the AP. The deal would pay him $10.8 million over three years. Schoeneweis, who posted a 4.88 ERA in 71 games last year, will serve as a lefty specialist for the Mets.
