Eric Gagne pitched the tenth inning Thursday night, one day after receiving a cortisone injection for stiffness in his pitching shoulder. He allowed one run on two hits, and struck out one.

Eric Gagne was unavailable to pitch Wednesday night, but Dodgers manager Jim Tracy hopes he can pitch Thursday. Tracy said Gagne felt stiffness in his shoulder when he played catch Tuesday and had an MRI, which revealed no structural damage. Even so, Gagne did receive a cortisone injection.

Eric Gagne was ejected from Thursday's game in the eighth inning for advancing toward home plate after Michael Tucker took offense at a high pitch and pointed at him. Replays showed that the pitch was mostly over the plate and that Tucker was largely unjustified for complaining.

Eric Gagne lost his arbitration case to the Dodgers today and will have to settle for a salary of $5 million this season instead of the $8 million he requested, according to the AP. He was 2-3 with a 1.20 ERA and 55 saves in as many chances last season and captured the NL\'s Cy Young award.
