The White Sox recalled Ross Gload from Triple-A Charlotte to replace Frank Thomas on the roster, according to the AP. Gload, who had been sidelined by a sore shoulder prior to being sent to the minors, hit .363 with eight home runs and 20 RBI in 29 games at Charlotte before the promotion.
