"It took nine or 10 days [to recover enough to play] last time," Jones said. "Hopefully it doesn't take that long, but like I said, it felt worse" Sunday when he reinjured it. Jones said that if the Braves make a playoff push he hopes he can return in about a week, even if it is just in a pinch-hitting role. Willy Aybar will fill in while Jones is out.
