As expected, the Mariners reassigned Wiki Gonzalez to minor league camp on Thursday. He hasn\'t been able to practice due to injuries to his shoulder and calves. It\'s possible he could get back up to spring training with the Mariners, but he\'ll have a hard time making the roster with Dan Wilson and Ben Davis behind the plate.

The Seattle Times reports that Wiki Gonzalez could be on the verge of being cut by the Mariners, because he hasn\'t been able to play due to a series of injuries this spring. "If you can\'t get on the field, you\'ll have a tough time making the team with cuts coming up," manger Bob Melvin said.

Wiki Gonzalez was scratched from an intraquad game on Wednesday because of a sore shoulder, according to the Seattle Times. Gonzalez, who has also been bothered by calf, back and arm trouble this spring, would seem to have to get healthy in a hurry to earn a spot on a team that already has Ben Davis and Dan Wilson.
