Eric Byrnes is expected to be Arizona's everyday left fielder next year with Luis Gonzalez not returning, according to the AP. Chris Young, recently promoted from Triple-A Tucson, is expected to be the team's center fielder, with Carlos Quentin penciled in for right field.

After batting a dismal .237 in April, Eric Byrnes has stepped up in a big way, batting .419 for the month of May with a .455 OBP and a .774 slugging percentage. Byrnes has played himself out of a platoon role with Jeff DaVanon, and is now the primary centerfielder for the Diamondbacks.
