Cesar Izturis had a big day at the plate in Thursday's 12-3 victory over the Diamondbacks. He was 3-for-3 with a triple, a walk and his 24th stolen base of the season.

Far from the biggest name on any night for the Cardinals, Cesar Izturis still had a nice outing on Monday with three hits, a run scored and two stolen bases.

Cesar Izturis has decided to ditch pinch-hitting and hit exclusively from the right side, at least for the time being, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The shortstop is batting .294 from the right side and .192 from the left side this year. "I'm more comfortable there," Izturis said. "Look at the numbers."
