The Marlins placed Matt Treanor on the DL Wednesday because of a strained left shoulder, according to the Miami Herald. Treanor had surgery on the same shoulder last October to repair a torn labrum. The Marlins called up Paul Hoover from Triple-A Albuquerque to fill Treanor's spot on the roster.
