Matt Treanor and Mike Rabelo are expected to split the catching duties with the Marlins in 2008, according to the Miami Herald. At least initially, Treanor could get more time than Rabelo because of his tenure with the club.

Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez tells the Miami Herald that Matt Treanor could return to action on Friday. Treanor is dealing with a sore left knee and hasn't played since Sunday.

Matt Treanor sustained a knee injury during the eighth inning of Sunday's contest. "It has a lot of fluid in there," Treaanor said, according to the Sun-Sentinel. "I don't know what it will be like [Monday]. I don't think there is any damage, but we'll have to see." More should be known about his status once he's examined further on Monday.
