To the chagrin of Angels management, new closer Francisco Rodriguez is once again pitching winter ball in Venezuela, according to the L.A. Times. K-Rod pitched over 45 innings of winter ball last year and believed it helped him get into great shape for the season, but the Angels would prefer he use the offseason to rest.
