Chris Snelling was moved to the 60-day disabled list Sunday to make room on the 40-man roster for Rafael Soriano, according to the Seattle Times.

Chris Snelling will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his sprained left knee to determine whether he has damaged his previously repaired ACL, according to the Seattle Times. "Right now, we can only say it appears that Chris has re-injured the ACL," Mariners spokesman Tim Hevly said. "There is a new tear in the previously reconstructed graft. But this cannot be confirmed without arthroscopic surgery."

Chris Snelling will have surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn medial meniscus in his left knee and is expected to miss about six weeks of action, according to the AP. He had an MRI after feeling pain during a workout on Thursday. Snelling had surgery on the same knee in 2001 to repair a torn ACL.
