The White Sox agreed to terms with Alex Cintron on Wednesday, according to the Sports Network. The deal is a one-year contract worth $1.9 million. He saw time at shortstop, second and third base for the Pale Hose in 2006.

Most likely, manager Ozzie Guillen just wants to get all of his players into the lineup early in the season. Cintron will back up Tadahito Iguchi as well as shortstop Juan Uribe this year.
