Fernando Rodney (shoulder) threw a six minute session off the mound on Thursday at the team's spring training facility, according to MLB.com. This was the first throwing session for Rodney since he visited Dr. James Andrews and received a positive report. "He felt this was his best bullpen session to date," Tigers head athletic trainer Kevin Rand said.

Fernando Rodney has begun throwing again, but he has no timetable as he recovers from right shoulder tendinitis, MLB.com reports.

Fernando Rodney's latest test on his injured shoulder showed no additional structural damage, according to the Detroit News. Rodney will resume throwing in 3-5 days.

Fernando Rodney is headed to Alabama to meet with Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday. The reliever has been dealing with right shoulder tendinitis. "He still isnt able to get over the hump," head athletic trainer Kevin Rand informs the Detroit Free Press. "He still isnt able to extend and get out there and finish." Previous exams have shown no major damage in the joint.

Fernando Rodney threw a favorable session on Friday, according to the Detroit News. He hurled 35-40 pitches in a bullpen session on Friday in Lakeland, Fla., and his velocity was reportedly about 80% and he threw, "with greater intensity." He will throw again on Monday, and this was an encouraging outing for him.
