Chad Moeller agreed to a one-year contract with the Reds on Monday, according to the AP. He hit .184 with two homers and five RBI in 98 at-bats with the Brewers in 2006. Moeller doesn't figure to see much action with the Reds, who already have David Ross and Javier Valentin on their roster.

After last night's game, the Brewers designated Chad Moeller for assignment, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Constitution. He was hitting just .184 this season.

Chad Moeller could lose his backup catcher's job if he doesn't pick up his play, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Moeller is hitting just .196 on the year and has throw out only 12.5 percent of attempted basestealers. The Brewers could recall Mike Rivera from Triple-A Nashville to replace Moeller. Rivera is batting .288 with nine home runs and 42 RBI on the year.
