Twins pitching coach Rick Anderson informed Juan Rincon yesterday that he won't begin the season in the setup role, so that he can be eased back from a sore elbow, according to the Pioneer Press. Jesse Crain will fill the role for the time being. "It could take a while or it might not take that long," said Rincon. "To be honest, I think it's a good decision. Right now, it's what's best for the team."

Even though Juan Rincon is expected to start throwing on the side tomorrow, it's uncertain whether he will be able to return from his sore right elbow by the beginning of the regular season, according to the Star-Tribune. The Twins likely will decide in the next week whether he will begin the season on the disabled list.
