Juan Pierre was dropped to seventh in the order Thursday as Grady Little juggled his struggling lineup. While the Dodgers didn't explode by any means Thursday - five runs over 11 innings - at least they got a win, and weren't shut out for the fourth consecutive day. Pierre went 1-for-5, for what it's worth.

Juan Pierre was dropped to eighth in the order Saturday. He entered the game with a .297 on-base percentage. Pierre went 2-for-3, for what it's worth, in the new spot.

Juan Pierre has been hitting a lot of flyballs lately, but he's not going to adjust his approach at the plate. "I just take the same approach in my drills every day," Pierre told the LA Times. "I haven't changed or worked any different." Pierre, who is hitting just .208 over the last week, got the day off on Thursday to regroup.

Juan Pierre was given a routine night off Thursday. He's in a 4-for-32 slump. "We're giving Juan a day off to see if he can regroup," Grady Little told the AP.

Dodgers manager Grady Little flip-flopped the first two batters in his lineup, putting Juan Pierre in the leadoff spot and batting Rafael Furcal second. He also moved Russell Martin up to the five-hole. "Changing our lineup doesn't necessarily have anything to with anyone's non-production in a certain spot. It was for the sole purpose of giving the entire lineup a different look and see if it makes a difference," Little told the AP.

Hitting just .186 entering last night's game, Juan Pierre was held out of the starting lineup, according to the LA Times. "The man just needs a break," said manager Grady Little. "It's one of those deals where you might hate me right now but you'll love me tomorrow." Pierre entered in the eighth inning as a defensive replacement and ended up hitting a single.

Juan Pierre fouled a ball off his right shin in the first inning Wednesday and exited the game in the third for treatment, the Dodgers official site reports. The injury isn't considered serious, though, and he's listed as day-to-day.
