The broken right hand of Travis Hafner will not require surgery, according to the AP. "They said everything is lined up good," Hafner said. "By the beginning of October, I should be out of the splint and starting rehab."

"He continues to feel better, it's just been slow," manager Eric Wedge said. "He was able to take some swings in the cage today and actually contact the baseball.
