On Tuesday, the Angels declined a $3 million dollar option on outfielder Garret Anderson, according to the Angels official web site. The club holds an exclusive 15-day window to negotiate a new deal with Anderson, the franchise leader in games, runs scored, hits, doubles, total bases and RBI.

September 30, 2008
Garret Anderson enters the post-season healthy after having a major issue with his vision in last years playoffs, according to the Angels Official Website. Last season he was suffering from a case of conjunctivitis that made it almost impossible for him to see out of his right eye.

Garret Anderson led the Angels in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Rangers, as he went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. He hit a a pair of singles and a two-run homer.

Angels outfielder Garret Anderson has a good match-up on Wednesday as he faces off against the Yankees Andy Pettitte. Anderson is 30-for-77 (.390) in his career off the New York lefty. Add to that the fact Anderson is hitting .393 in September, and he could be in for a big night.
