Garret Anderson enters the post-season healthy after having a major issue with his vision in last years playoffs, according to the Angels Official Website. Last season he was suffering from a case of conjunctivitis that made it almost impossible for him to see out of his right eye.

Anderson said, "If I'm hurting the team, yeah, put me in a different spot. I'm up to the challenge. I know where I want to hit in the lineup. It's just that overall, it's not happening right now. I don't get too cerebral or think about it a lot. I know I can hit, and I don't worry about it happening. The only thing that frustrates me is I'm hitting in a position in the lineup and I'm letting the team down in certain areas. That's what I'm upset about." Manager Mike Sciosca stated, "He's got the same demeanor, but I think he's grinding a bit. Hopefully he can find his rhythm and balance at the plate. He's not that far off. He's just jumping at the ball a bit."

Manager Mike Sciosca is not giving up on struggling cleanup hitter Garret Anderson, according to the LA Times. Anderson is only hitting .244 over 86 at-bats, and is currently in a six-for-36 slump. Sciosca commented, "If it helps a player to get out of a role for a while and hit him in a different grouping, you do it. But right now, we don't see that. We have a lot of confidence Garret will contribute. He drove in more runs than anybody in the game in the second half last year. There's a history there that he's going to be very productive."
